DAY 02: Paris
We’ll immerse ourselves in the rich history of France at the magnificent Palace of Versailles (admission not included), renowned for its stunning gardens. On our return to Paris, we’ll visit Montmartre, where a cable car (included) will take us up to this charming bohemian neighborhood, famous for its artists, painters, and cabarets. To fully appreciate the grandeur of Paris, we’ll embark on a panoramic city tour with a local guide, showcasing the city’s impressive avenues and iconic monuments. Afterward, we’ll return to the hotel. For those interested, there is an optional variety show in the evening.
DAY 03: Paris
We’ll start our day in central Paris, beginning with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower. You´ll have the chance to go up to the second floor of this famous iron landmark (tickets included). Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Seine, which will last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. You’ll have a free afternoon to explore the city at your own pace.
Note: If wait times at the Eiffel Tower are too long, we might reschedule the visit to a different time (or on Sunday) for your convenience.
DAY 04: Paris - Beaune - Lyon.
Today, we’ll journey to the heart of France, passing through the Bourgogne region, renowned for its picturesque vineyards and world-class wines. Our first stop will be Beaune, a charming town in the center of Burgundy known for its flower-filled streets, hospice, and wine museum. After some free time for lunch and a walk, we’ll continue to Lyon, the former capital of Roman Gaul, located on the banks of the Rhône River. Lyon´s historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage site. We’ll take a cable car up to Notre-Dame de Fourvière, where we can enjoy a stunning view of the city. You’ll have some free time to explore at your leisure.
Note: In some cases, part of the group will stay in Chambéry, a city near Lyon. In these instances, we’ll travel to Chambéry in the evening for an overnight stay. In the morning, you’ll have time to visit this medieval-style city, the capital de la Saboya, known for its beautiful historic center and impressive castle.
DAY 05: Lyon - Geneva - Neuchâtel - Zurich
Today, we’ll travel to Switzerland. Upon arrival in Geneva, we’ll pass by the Palace of Nations (the European headquarters of the United Nations) and explore the pretty English Garden with its flower clock and admire the Jet d’Eau, the tallest fountain in Europe.
After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through Switzerland, traveling along the scenic routes by Lake Geneva and Lake Neuchâtel. We’ll drive along the Three Lakes region, enjoying views of magnificent vineyards set against the mountain backdrop. We’ll stop in Neuchâtel, where you can enjoy a walk by the lake, explore the historic town center, or visit the beautiful 10th-century castle. Our journey will conclude in Zurich, where we’ll arrive in the late afternoon.
Note: Depending on the number of passengers traveling from Geneva to Zurich, this part of the trip may be done by train, in which case there will be no stop in Neuchâtel.
DAY 06: Zurich - Rapperswil - Zurich.
With our guide, we’ll explore Zurich, the most populous city in Switzerland, and its financial and cultural heart. Known for its banks, Zurich has been twice recognized as the city with the best quality of life in the world. Afterwards, we’ll embark on a scenic cruise of nearly two hours on Lake Zurich, with brief stops to enjoy the charming villages along the route. We’ll disembark in Rapperswil, a picturesque village renowned for its medieval castle. We’ll return to Zurich by train, providing an opportunity to experience the efficiency and punctuality of the Swiss railway system.
Note: Depending on the number of travelers, transfers to and from the city center may be via public transportation.
DAY 07: Zurich - Grindelwald - Lucerne - Zurich
Today´s journey features stunning landscapes with tall mountains and pristine lakes. We’ll enjoy breathtaking scenery in the Interlaken region. Our first stop will be Grindelwald, where we’ll have time for a coffee before taking the cable car up the mountain. Once there, we’ll walk along a winding path leading to a suspended bridge. For those who are adventurous, crossing the bridge offers spectacular views of the surrounding glaciers. We’ll have lunch on the mountain (included) before heading back down. Our next destination is Lucerne, one of Switzerland´s most beautiful cities, where you’ll have time to explore and enjoy the charming cityscape. We’ll then return to Zurich.
Note: The guide will offer an optional full-day excursion, starting in the morning. After some free time in Lucerne, we’ll take a rotating cable car to the summit of Mount Titlis. At over 3,000 meters above sea level, the alpine summit offers breathtaking views of the glacier and the Alps.
DAY 08: Zurich - Lugano - Como - Milan.
We’ll leave Zurich early in the morning, crossing the Alps to reach the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. Our first stop will be Lugano, the cosmopolitan capital of Italian-speaking Switzerland, an elegant city set beside its stunning lake. You´ll have time to explore and enjoy lunch. Next, we´ll enter Italy and arrive in the charming town of Como, considered the jewel of Lombardy, known for its beautiful gardens beside the lake and its spectacular cathedral. We’ll continue to Milan, where our guide will take us to the impressive Piazza del Duomo. You’ll have some time to wander around before we transfer you to the hotel.
DAY 09: Milan - Pisa - Rome.-
Today, we’ll continue our journey to Pisa. We´ll ride a small tourist train to the Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), where you´ll have time to admire one of the most captivating and beautiful art complexes in Italy, including the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Afterwards, we’ll head to Rome, arriving later in the day.
DAY 10: Rome.
In the morning, we’ll kick off our day with a panoramic tour, offering a fantastic introduction to the Eternal City. We’ll visit the tiny state of the Vatican, the heart of Christianity, where you´ll have the chance to explore Saint Peter’s Basilica. Tickets are included for the Imperial Forums, an awe-inspiring architectural complex filled with monumental buildings and squares that were once the hub of political life in Imperial Rome.
In the evening, we’ll provide a transfer to Trastevere, perfect for a leisurely stroll through its charming, narrow cobblestone streets. This district is rich in hidden gems, from quaint medieval churches and quirky shops selling unique items to everyday scenes of local life. You’ll find many trattorias (casual eating establishments, typically less formal than a ristorante) and osterias (similar to taverns), each exuding Italian charm and ready to serve you authentic local dishes. Additionally, the area offers a variety of restaurants serving Indian, Chinese, and international cuisine. We’ll return to the hotel at the end of the evening.
DAY 11: Rome - Florence.
We will have an early departure from Prague and stop in PILSEN, in the region of West Bohemia, a city renowned for its beer. Time for a walk through its historic center where we find the Great Square, the cathedral, the Plague Column and a Renaissance-era town hall. We will then cross into Germany where we will follow a section of the so-called ¨Romantic Route¨. Next, we will visit ROTHENBURG, a town that seems to come straight out of a fairy tale, and is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in the country. Afterwards, we will head to FRANKFURT. Arrival in the financial capital of Germany in the evening. Free time in the historic city center, where there is a wide variety of restaurants to choose from (from Indian cuisine to Oriental, Italian, international and so on).
DAY 12: Florence - Venice.
Today, we’ll enjoy the stunning mountain landscapes as we cross the Apennines. Upon arriving in Venice, we’ll take a boat across the Giudecca Canal to the Island of Venice. With a local guide, we’ll visit the marvelous St. Mark’s Square. Afterwards, we’ll tour the Murano Glass Factory, where you’ll see the fascinating techniques used to create this ancient glass. You´ll have some free time to explore on your own. Accommodation will be in the Mestre district.
DAY 13: Venice - Innsbruck - Kitzbühel
We will depart from Venice, traveling to Austria! Upon arriving in Innsbruck, you’ll have time to stroll through the historic city center and enjoy lunch in the Austrian Tyrolean capital. Afterward, we’ll journey along beautiful scenic roads through the mountains to Kitzbühel. Once there, you’ll have time to explore this picturesque village, a famous ski resort where snow can be enjoyed for most of the year. Dinner will be included.
Note: If there are few travelers, we may take a train from Venice to Innsbruck.
DAY 14: Kitzbühel - Salzburg - St. Wolfgang - Traunsee Lake - Vienna.
Today, we’ll get to know Austria better. Departing in the morning, we’ll take a cable car ride in Steinplatte up to the high mountains of the Alps, where snow lasts for nine months of the year and the scenery is breathtaking. The incredible landscapes from the viewing platform and the dinosaur exhibition will create unforgettable memories. We’ll then continue exploring Austria, traveling through the mountains until we arrive in Salzburg, Mozart’s city. Its Renaissance and Baroque center is filled with beauty, all in the shadow of the grand castle. Next, we’ll travel through lakes and mountains to reach St. Wolfgang, a renowned pilgrimage site in Austria. We’ll then head to Traunkirchen, located beside the beautiful Traunsee Lake, where we’ll take a cruise to see four of the lake´s castles before disembarking in Gmunden. Afterward, we’ll continue to Vienna, arriving in the evening.
DAY 15: Vienna.
Today, we’ll embark on a panoramic tour of this impressive city with a local guide. We’ll explore its majestic avenues, beautiful palaces, large parks and vibrant city center. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore on your own. In the evening, we’ll include a transfer to the Grinzing district, an old wine-growing village now part of the city, known for its traditional taverns. You’ll have free time to dine in the area.
DAY 16: Vienna.
After breakfast, our journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories.
